The ballet La Bayadére

The director and the prima ballerina of the Saint Petersburg Ballet Theatre, Konstantin Tachkin and Irina Kolésnikova were also at the press conference on Monday 21st February in the Teatro Pérez Galdós to present La Bayádere, to be performed on 18th, 19th and 20th March, as a climax to their European tour.

The two russian artists are delighted to be able to return once again to the Pérez Galdós after the success last November with the performances of Swan Lake. This time, Kolésnikova is with her “favourite ballet”, a ballet described as “emotional and expressive”.

Tachkin describes this as being “an incredibly beautiful ballet that tells a love story that takes place in India”. The director of the Ballet wishes to emphasize the chance that the Gran Canarian audience has to admire on stage “ at one of the best dancers world-wide, the only one who develops her own season in London and Paris”.
