The Teatro Pérez Galdós Canary Islands’ Foundation is looking for volunteers to be trained as guides
Those who are interested in presenting the coliseum to visitors may sent their application to the press department of the Teatro.
One of the immediate projects of the Teatro Pérez Galdós Canary Islands’ Foundation, with Juan Cambreleng as the Managing Director, is to dynamize the guided visit service at the Gran Canarian coliseum. In order for this to take place, the aim is to form a stable group of selfless volunteers who offer to be visitors’ guides.
At the present, the visits to the Teatro Pérez Galdós are limited to group visits and with prior notice, and the interesting information about the building is explained by hostesses contracted by the Foundation. With the aim of being able to extend this service to the general public and dispose of a calendar of visits, the idea has been thought up of relying on the knowledge and capacity of people, in many cases with a deep knowledge of the Teatro, who have no economic interest whatsoever and wish to serve as guides. Dozens of citizens have already showed their interest in forming part of this volunteer group.
All those who are interested in participating in this initiative may present themselves personally to those in charge of the Teatro Pérez Galdós Foundation or may contact them under the following telephone number 928.433.805 or e-mail address of the Press and Communication Office: prensa@teatroperezgaldos.es
The applicants must be committed to complying with the hours required, for which responsibility is asked. Furthermore, languages will be appreciated.
