The Original Glenn Miller Orchestra is one of the most popular big bands. With extensive experience and an infinite number of performances, the group brings Glenn Miller’s music to the world and also the best sound of jazz.

Founded in 1988, the Glenn Miller Orchestra has maintained the exact line-up on stage as conceived by the great North American musician: five saxophones, four trumpets, four trombones and three percussions, as well as a male and female vocalist. The vocal group “The Moonlight Serenaders” and the jazz formation “The Uptown Hall Gang” convert this show into an unforgettable journey to the golden age of swing.

The orchestra’s repertoire comprises of more than 200 scores, many of them from the original, including of course In the Mood, Moonlight Serenade, American Patrol and Chattanooga Choo Choo The repertoire features contributions from the world’s greatest arrangers including Jerry Gray, Billy May and Hill Finegan.

In the big band age of the 1940s every group had their distinctive signature tune, and in the case of the Glenn Miller Orchestra it was Moonlight Serenade. Miller originally wrote this theme as an exercise for a music arranging course, long before his orchestra was formed. Today this score is considered a standard in the field of North American music, and is one of the most reproduced songs throughout the history of the United Status.

Although some changes have been instituted (changes, that the group considered would have been carried out by Glenn Miller, were he still alive), the authentic style of Glenn Miller has not been altered in any way, a sound and style that marks an era.
